KaonForge exists to help creators publish comics, build character pages and team up with other creators. These guidelines keep the community creative, respectful and safe.
Create original work (OC-only)
KaonForge is built for original characters and stories you own. Publish work you have the rights to. Do not upload content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights.
Do not add licensed characters (from comics, games, anime, films, or other franchises) to your roster, cast, or connections. Do not publish fan characters or derivative OCs that are based on someone else's intellectual property, even if you redesigned them.
- Your characters, cameos and connections should be OCs or work you are authorized to use.
- Commissioned human artwork is welcome when you credit the artist (see optional art-by fields on character versions).
Human-made artwork, not AI-generated
KaonForge is a home for human creativity. The artwork you publish (character art, comic pages, covers and splash images) must be created by you, or by artists you have permission to use and credit.
AI-generated artwork (images produced by generative tools such as text-to-image models) is not permitted as published artwork on KaonForge. This protects original artists and avoids the unresolved rights and training-data concerns that come with generative image tools.
- Do not upload AI-generated images as character art, covers, pages, or splash art.
- Everyday digital tools (brushes, filters and color or layout assists) are fine; the creative work must be yours.
- If we determine that published artwork is AI-generated, we may remove it, and repeat violations may lead to suspension.
Be respectful
- No harassment, hate speech, or targeted abuse.
- No threats, doxxing, or sharing others' private information.
- Disagree with ideas, not with people.
Keep content appropriate
Mature themes are part of comics storytelling, but content must comply with the law and be labeled appropriately where mature-content tools are available. No illegal content and no sexual content involving minors, ever.
No spam or abuse
- Do not spam, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the platform.
- Do not attempt to bypass access controls or security measures.
Enforcement
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these guidelines. During the beta, moderation is handled directly by the KaonForge team.
